What we have done and are doing now ...

  • Finalizing Act 1 & 2 We're in the home stretch, making sure that Acts 1 and 2 come together seamlessly in the final version of our production. The story is shaping up beautifully.

  • Creating New Songs & Melodies Our creative team, is hard at work composing new songs that promise to be the heart and soul of our production. These tunes will take the experience to a whole new level.

  • Team in Place We're excited to share that we've successfully assembled our team, and here's a look at our accomplished members:

    • Casting by Arc Arc has played a pivotal role in casting our talented actors for amazing shows like: Life of Pi; The Lion King, Chicago, Beauty and the Beast and so many more. We are thrilled they have joined out team.

    • Lighting Designer - Dawn Chiang Dawn Chiang brings her 30 years of expertise in Broadway, Off-Broadway, to light up our production.

    • Director & Choreographer - Joe Barros Joe Barros who was part of our team as our Dramaturg, has now accepted to lead the artistic and choreographic direction. Joe is not just a director; he's a dreamweaver, a storyteller, and a visual artist all rolled into one. With a keen eye for detail, he meticulously helps design the set, lighting, costumes, and choreography, ensuring that every aspect of the production is a feast for the senses.

    • Music Director - Charlie Reuter Charlie Reuter will guide the musical elements of our production. Charlie Reuter is a conductor and pianist based out of New York City. He most recently conducted The Prince of Egypt, after the National Tour of Cinderella, and worked with Trevor Nunn to adapt an original score for Pericles (2016 Drama Desk nominated for Outstanding Music in a Play) He served as associate conductor for Dreamgirls (The Muny) starring Jennifer Holliday and has conducted Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

    • Orchestrator - Chris Jahnke Prepare to be spellbound by the musical genius of Chris Jahnke, who will infuse our music with his exceptional orchestrations. With a remarkable career spanning over 25 years on the illustrious stages of Broadway, Chris has lent his extraordinary talents to acclaimed productions such as "King Kong," "Dear Evan Hansen," "Les Misérables," "Grease," "Legally Blonde," and many more. His expertise in orchestrating musical masterpieces is bound to elevate our performance to new heights.

    • Copyist - Michael Hopewell: Michael Hopewell ensures that our music is meticulously prepared.

  • Still to Hire this month We have some additional important roles to fill this month, and we are finishing the interviewing and selection process for the following:

    • Costume Designer

    • Set Designer

    • Production Manager

    • Stage Manager

    • Sound Designer

  • Exciting Herberger Visit Our Producer and GM Firm are scheduled to visit the Herberger Theatre end of November, to do a walk through and meet the team that will be working on the show in Phoenix. A significant step in our journey to bring the show to life.

  • Casting Update Our casting process is set to begin at the end of November. Initially, auditions will be held virtually, followed by live auditions in Phoenix and New York City in January 2024.

  • Investor Contracts In the coming week, we will be FINALLY able to send out your investor contracts to welcome you all aboard this incredible journey. It's hard to believe we are just under 6 months away from our World Premiere of Mad Hatter The Musical. We couldn't do this without all of you. Thank you for your support!
